Axelrode Orthodontics in Moraga, CA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping us create beautiful smiles and improving our patients' oral health. 

Schedule

• This is a full-time position Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Complete x-rays for patients.
• Clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols and standards.
• Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment and report any malfunctioning to the office manager.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of sterilization supplies, ordering as needed.
•  Ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and safety practices within the dental office.
• Organize clean instruments and ensure that work areas are maintained in a tidy and sanitary condition.
• Work closely with dentists and dental hygienists to ensure instrument availability and readiness for procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in sterilization or dental assisting is a plus.
• Dental X-Ray certification.
• Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instruction
• Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management capabilities.
• Strong communication skills, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
