We are currently looking for a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team on a part-time basis.
Job Summary:
As a Part-Time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and providing excellent patient care. You'll be responsible for assisting with various dental tasks, ensuring the office maintains a clean and organized environment, and fostering positive relationships with our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and the treatment area.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain patient records and update them as necessary.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk duties as needed.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification.
- Stay current on dental practices and procedures through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications:
- Valid RDA certification and current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous experience in a dental assisting role preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
