Smilebliss Orthodontics is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong communication abilities. 

Schedule

• This is a part-time position
• Monday and Wednesdays
• 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Current CA RDA licensure
• 1+ years of Orthodontic experience
• An outgoing and friendly personality
• Must enjoy working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities Include

• Chairside assisting including banding, bonding, wire changes, changing ties and powerchains, etc
• Conduct intraoral scans for Invisalign and initial records as well as taking intra- & extra-oral photos with DSLR camera
• Utilize digital pano and ceph for 3D scans
• Responsible for taking impressions and pouring and mounting models
• Fabricate Essix Retainers for patients
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (tooth brushing, flossing, etc.)
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide administrative support when necessary.
