Orthodontic Assistant

Moraga, CA

Axelrode Orthodontics in Moraga, CA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant (RDA or OA) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping us create beautiful smiles and improving our patients' oral health. You will work directly with our orthodontists, supporting both clinical and administrative functions in our practice.

Schedule

  • This is a full-time position Monday through Friday

Qualifications and Skills

  • Certified as a Registered Dental Assistant or have completed an Orthodontic Assistant (OA) program
  • Previous experience in Orthodontics is required
  • Upbeat personality a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Punctual
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments
  • Take Cephalometric and Panoramic x-rays
  • Fabricate orthodontic retainers and impress for appliances
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
  • Other duties as assigned
